This is by far the best way to make gold in World of Warcraft, yet it can be a challenge. When someone searches for that specific item, your name will be at the top. Never charge insane prices however. Gathering Professions
Professions like mining, herbalism, and skinning are some of the best ways to make gold. A lot of people who are leveling their professions do not want to farm the materials needed so they resort to the auction house. This can unlock tons of gold for you easily and quickly with very minimal effort.
Mining and herbalism tend to be the best as far as gathering professions. Ore and bars sell extremely quickly as they are needed for engineering, blacksmithing, and jewelcrafting. Herbs sell fairly quickly as well as they are needed for inscription and alchemy. You can track herbs and ore nodes at the same time on your mini-map, so having both of those gathering professions is probably the best recommendation. Skinning is a great tradeskill to have when you are leveling or skilling on a regular basis. Having skinning/mining or skinning/herbalism is a sound decision when choosing your professions.
Daily Quests
In Mists of Pandaria, there is no longer a 25 daily quest limit like before. These are relatively simple quests that reward about 20g each, reputation with whatever faction the quest is with, and Valor. It is a grind but if you have the talent to add it to a routine along with two gathering professions, you can easily make a day out of questing and collecting your gold online.
Potion of Luck
The Potion of Luck can be your new best friend. This is a potion that lasts for twenty minutes and persists through death. It causes mobs to drop a Plundered Treasure chest randomly with a 5-10% drop. These chests have tradeskill items and rare bind on equip gear, both of which can add up quickly for gold. The chest also usually contains anywhere from one to six gold each.
